2024-25 Platform of the Independent American Party of Utah
Introduction
In the spirit of preserving our independence, we, Independent Americans of the Great State of Utah, of these United States, out of great love for God, family, and country, do proclaim the following standards:
1. Judeo-Christian Heritage We believe that it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and to humbly implore His protection and favor. Furthermore, we affirm that America is fundamentally a Christian Nation with a strong Judeo-Christian heritage, tolerant of all peaceable religions; and that only by faith in and obedience to God shall we be preserved as a nation.
2. Family We believe that families are the fundamental building blocks of a moral society; that traditional family values are the strength of our nation; and that Christian and similar principles are the key to strong homes in America.
3. Citizenship We believe that patriotism, civic duty and good character are essential to personal liberty and happiness for the people of America.
4. Unalienable Rights We believe that God has endowed men with certain unalienable rights, such as life, liberty and property; that these rights are guaranteed by the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution; and tt is the primary duty of government to protect these rights.
5. States Rights in Education We believe that the federal government has no constitutional authority to regulate, control or fund education and that this right belongs to the states, or to the people.
6. Economy We believe in economic “free enterprise;" in addition some safeguards may be necessary to protect Americans from foreign competition. As well, taxation should be limited to those methods provided for in our traditional Constitution, and our nation must not spend beyond it's means except for in times of (justified) war or emergency.
We must work to eliminate our national debt, and not pass down financial obligations to subsequent generations of Americans.
The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 should be repealed and America's free market system allowed to flourish based on natural laws of supply and demand.
7. Society We believe that government has no authority to circumvent, or usurp, the U.S. Constitution; that only state or local governments have the right to regulate or discourage drug, alcohol, and gambling abuse in their jurisdictions; and that the safety of law-abiding citizens must take precedence over the rights of criminals. Amendment 10: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
8. Natural Resources We believe protection of the environment should be a state, local, and individual responsibility; that there must be a dynamic balance between energy development and conservation; and that safe and inexpensive alternative energy sources should be developed. Pollution-free alternative energy sources have been discovered and patented. These tools have been suppressed by corporations and lobbied government officials, but could become quickly available and which should be allowed to reach the hands and use of we the people, were it not for politics and government interference.
9. U.S. Constitution We believe that the Constitution for the United States was prepared and adopted by men under inspiration from Almighty God; and that it is a solemn compact created by the people of the states of this nation; and that it was made specifically by, and for a moral and religious people; and is the supreme law above all other laws. It must be held inviolate.
10. Government We believe that the sole function of government is to protect life, liberty and property; and that the federal government is an agent of the states and the people; and that each state is sovereign in performing those functions reserved to it by the U.S. Constitution. Each elected official is under mandate to take an oath to defend and uphold the U.S. Constitution. It is the responsibility of The People to hold these elected and appointed officials accountable for their oaths. Many, if not all, of our current problems are traceable to the abdication of the people to perform their duty, collectively and individually. 4. Defense We believe that a strong defense establishment is essential to the preservation of our nation; that America must not commit its military to any international organization; and that neither should foreign military bases be allowed on American soil.
11. U.S. Sovereignty We believe that a sovereign America is necessary to maintain our freedom and way of life; that we must withdraw from all international agreements or entanglements that diminish our sovereignty and power; and that we must resist all efforts to draw us into a global, or international government. We claim that the heritage of Christian principles upon which this nation was founded, including those of religious tolerance, the traditional family, patriotism, and our unalienable rights, is under attack; that our educational, economic and social institutions, and use of natural resources, have been perverted by those who would destroy our way of life; and that our Constitutional Republican form of government, national security, and national sovereignty are hanging by a thread.
PREAMBLE
We affirm that the foundations of our country were spiritual: We testify that the Constitution for the United States of America was established as an inspired ensign and standard of liberty for all. It is the only constitution based foremost upon the rights and liberties of a free and independent people.
Our God-given rights are superior to government, placing government as the servant of the people and not their master. We revere the founding documents of America, honor the men who framed them, and ascribe all honor and glory to the God who inspired them. We claim that no greater immediate responsibility rests upon all citizens of this Republic, and of neighboring Republics, than to protect the freedom vouchsafed by the Constitution of the United States. We also claim that the Founding Fathers established this nation as a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy.
“The people, not government… are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.” – Thomas Jefferson
Purpose of the Independent American Party
To Bring our Country Back to the Original Intent of our Founding Fathers.
1. CHRISTIAN HERITAGE
God We honor and recognize the Creator as the giver of our rights and liberties (Declaration of Independence). We believe that to maintain freedom, our political institutions must be founded upon faith in God and upon moral law. We believe that religion is basic to good government. We believe in keeping personal religion in the people who work for government, while keeping government out of religion. We affirm that the Constitution makes no reference to “separation of church and state.” We support the original meaning and intent of Jefferson’s separation of church and state, which prohibits the government from establishing a national religion (e.g., Church of the U.S.), and prohibits government intrusion into religion.
We maintain that government has violated our Founders’ intent through its hostility to, and undermining of our religious liberties and beliefs, and by court decisions which limit the constitutional free exercise of religion.
We fully support the first official Presidential Proclamation issued in the United States: “…it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will… that we may unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations… and to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue…” (George Washington, October 3, 1789).
Our Christian Nation We acknowledge that America is historically and demographically a Christian nation tolerant of all religions. We hold that deeming our Constitution as a Christian and religious document is the strongest defense in preserving all God-given and Constitutional rights, and the rights of all religions and religious beliefs.
Plainly, the First Amendment protects the right to publicly acknowledge God, pray, read the Bible, display the Ten Commandments, etc. in all public buildings, and to freely exercise our various religions, without government interference. We recognize the Bible (America’s first school textbook) as the primary source of principles upon which our laws and Constitution are founded.
We fully support our national motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” and oppose any efforts to remove it from our coins and currency. We oppose removing the name God, or references to Him, from buildings, songs, historical documents, or from the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. FAMILY
Traditional Family We recognize that the traditional family unit, not the government, is best suited to promote character development, the advancement of morality, education, integrity, honor, personal responsibility, patriotism, citizenship, service, respect and tolerance for differences in religion, race, and culture.
We recognize that marriage is meant to be a sacred and lasting union of man and woman. We encourage laws that strengthen and support the traditional family and its values. We support the parents’ fundamental right and responsibility to nurture, educate, and discipline their own children. We affirm the rights and duties of families in the care of their elderly and disabled members. Usurpation of any of these responsibilities by any government agency infringes upon the fundamental rights of families.
We oppose the intrusion into the family by any and all government agency unless absolutely necessary to protect children or adults from criminal conduct according to Common Law. Even in these situations, the due process of law must be accorded all parties involved. We maintain that there should be no presumption of guilt based on “anonymous” tips, and that those accused must have their Constitutional right honored to face their accusers in a court of law. The regulation of childcare in most cases is not a legitimate function of government, but is an unconstitutional intrusion into the private affairs of American families.
Morality We favor the promotion of moral values. We favor and respect life, we honor motherhood and fatherhood, and favor adoption over abortion, we honor good parenting and disavow child abuse from family members, parents, or from either insiders or outsiders of the familial circle. We see children as blessings from God and not just products of natural or unnatural affection.
We oppose abortion, homosexuality, same-sex marriages, sexual exploitation of children, fornication, incest, bestiality, sodomy, adultery, and pornography - and deem them threats to traditional family values. We see perversion and immorality as the primary cause behind the fall of all great nations. We maintain that people engaging in acts of homosexuality have no special legal rights or privileges, and those living in such relationships have no legal familial rights or privileges, such as adoption of children and legitimacy of marriage. We support legislation that protects the family from mounting influences which weaken the family unit. While respecting individual rights and agency, we oppose legitimizing immorality (as described above). Neither Congress nor the federal courts should infringe upon the rights of state and local governments to enact constitutional laws restricting public obscenity, pornography, and illicit sex acts, etc.
3. CITIZENSHIP
Patriotism We consider patriotism as a manifestation of how we express our love for this great country and each other.
We affirm that patriotism does not mean blind submission to government, but rather vigilant action in the preservation and perpetuation of our rights and liberties against government infringement, and against those in or out of government attempting to pervert or overthrow our Constitution and national independence. Since the American flag is the symbol of our freedom and the sacrifice of countless Americans, we strongly oppose any form of desecration to our nation’s flag.
Civic Duty We favor community service, civic and political involvement, and an understanding of the Constitution.
We consider it the duty of every American to inform self and others of the domestic enemies to freedom, to sound the alert, and to stand up for America while freedom can still be preserved.
We maintain that it is the civic duty of all Americans to be vocal and vigilant in returning the size and powers of the federal government to the limits of the original Constitution, and in restoring all rights and powers belonging to the states and to the people. We favor informed and responsible voting. We hold that continuing to vote for the status quo will perpetuate the same corruption, advance the overthrow of our Constitution, and guarantee the surrender of all rights, liberties and national independence to the tyranny and despotism of enemies, foreign and/or domestic.
We assert that it is our patriotic and protected civic duty, when the government becomes destructive of our rights and liberties, to alter or replace that form of government by means declared in our Constitutional (first) and Declaration of Independence (second).
4. UNALIENABLE RIGHTS
Life We believe and affirm that the life of an individual begins at biological conception and ends at natural death. Furthermore, we believe and affirm that the paramount responsibility of our government is to protect the life, liberty, property, and the pursuit of happiness of each person within its jurisdiction. Thus we advocate the security and protection of all human life, including the unborn, disabled, infirm, and aged. We favor adoption over abortion as a win-win for birth-parents, children and adopting families. The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution for the United States reads: “No person shall . . . be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law: . . “
Since a human life in the womb cannot be brought to trial and given due process, it is protected by the Fifth Amendment. We promote the passage of the “Life at Conception Act,” and the equal protection of all the unborn.
Liberty We claim that the inherent and individual right to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment, is fundamental to safeguard life, liberty, and property, to discourage and defend against tyranny, and to preserve the security and independence of person, state and nation. We support the rights of private organizations to determine their own membership, volunteers, and employment based on their oaths and creeds. We oppose legislation that allows the federal government to suspend our God-given Rights or that prevents the people from suing government agents for violating citizens’ civil or fundamental rights during times of war, national disasters, national emergencies, or declarations of martial law, etc. We oppose the 1933 War Powers and Emergencies Act for its attempt to suspend the Constitution.
Property We deem it a violation of the right of private property guaranteed under the Constitution for government to forcibly deprive citizens of their property through taxation or otherwise.
We assert that our 5th Amendment property rights limit the federal power of an eminent domain solely to the purchase of private property at fair market value for legitimate public use, and not for purposes such as urban renewal, environmental protection, or historic preservation. We maintain that any form of government must be strictly limited in its powers to intrude upon the private property of individual citizens, and that there be no search or seizure of persons, places or things without due process of law.
5. EDUCATION
Values We believe that our educational institutions must be founded upon faith in God and upon moral law, and a respect for all religions without advancing or suppressing any. We urge the elimination from our schools the practice of Secular Humanism, which undermines faith in God, religious loyalties and family values.
Furthermore, we encourage the Bible to be taught in schools, pursuant to Benjamin Franklin’s creed as follows:
“I believe in one God, the creator of the universe. That He governs by His providence. That He ought to be worshipped. That the most acceptable service we can render to Him is to do good to His other children. That the soul of man is immortal and will be treated with JUSTICE in another life respecting its conduct in this. These I take to be the fundamental principles of all sound religion.”
We also favor teaching abstinence from all sexual activity outside the bonds of marriage.
Stewardship We assert that parents have sole stewardship in educating their children, yet may delegate part of this stewardship to trustworthy educators, whose intent and ability can and should be under constant scrutiny. We assert that there are no provisions for governmental intrusion in America’s education systems found in the Constitution.
Non-government Schools Within our k-12 education system, we favor phasing out and ultimately abolishing any organization’s control that usurps parental control, including federal, state, local and U.N. demands or criteria. This includes the abolishment of the U.S. Department of Education. We maintain that returning the control and financing of education to a market system that is open and free, while opening this system to choice and competition are the only viable options under the Constitution. Such control will guarantee the freedom and upward mobility of educational standards, while securing parental stewardship.
6. ECONOMY
Free Enterprise We favor terminating government competition with free enterprise, including government ownership, subsidy, bailout, and direct control of businesses.
We support divesting the government of its commercial enterprises, and selling them to competitive, American owned private businesses.
We oppose governmental wage and price controls because they interfere with free enterprise and market-driven competition.
We oppose agricultural and business subsidy programs as both unconstitutional and an unnecessary measure which creates dependency.
We maintain that no services, essential to public need, should ever be jeopardized by strike or collective bargaining.
We favor the elimination of OSHA, which has acted as judge, jury, and prosecutor in violation of the Bill of Rights.
We deem their guidelines as advisory only for employers and insurance companies. We favor Right-to-Work laws.
Taxation We maintain that there is an urgent need for substantial tax reforms that would eliminate income, property and estate taxes, and taxes on necessities to lighten taxpayer burdens and curb wasteful government spending. For example, we oppose the use of tax dollars to finance art, literature, speech or actions. We support the elimination of the National Endowment for the Arts. We prefer charity: anyone who desires, may donate to these causes out of their own pocket.
We maintain that the Internal Revenue Service has used its powers arbitrarily, punitively and tyrannically to harass and sometimes devastate honest taxpayers. We favor eliminating the IRS and repealing the 16th Amendment, thus restoring the original Constitutional scope and intent of taxation. Our country survived without the IRS for a hundred years.
Money and Banking The Constitutional meaning of money – Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution reads: “The Congress shall have Power…To coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures,”
' Coined money holds intrinsic value. Paper money does not. It can be devalued. Much can be said in these regards pertaining to the U.S. dollar. ['Digital money' and 'crypto' are therefore unconstitutional]
We also affirm that the Federal Reserve is a private business, owned primarily by international bankers, operating under the deception of a government entity, which annually extorts, for their personal use, at least hundreds of billions of dollars in interest on the national debt from the American public with government cooperation.
We believe the power to issue money should be taken from the Federal Reserve (and its banks) and restored to Congress and the people to whom that power rightfully belongs. We favor a total reform of the banking and credit card industry, which exploits property from the American citizen by way of usury or interest.
We favor the repeal of the National Bank Act (Federal Reserve Act), and favor the seizure and audit of the Federal Reserve System, the outlawing of fractional reserve banking, and disavowal of Federal Reserve claims upon citizen properties.
We favor investigation into and prosecution of all American banks, corporations, and their owners, etc., who participate in unconstitutional and treasonous activities via the Federal Reserve or any global economic system.
7. SOCIETY
Vigilance Thomas Jefferson stated: “The people, not government … are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty.” We maintain that every citizen has an elevated responsibility to become more aware of the threats to, and to be more personally involved in, the preservation of our God-given rights and freedom. We oppose any government control over personal vigilance and patriotism.
Entitlement Programs We maintain that there is no Constitutional authority for federal entitlement programs. We deem these programs as needlessly expensive, ineffective, and riddled with fraud and corruption. We assert that the responsibility for personal welfare should be assumed first by the individual and family, then by church and other charitable organizations.
While the federal government must honor its commitment to those who have paid into Social Security, health care, or welfare, we favor voluntary participation only, and a gradual phasing out of those systems. We favor free enterprise and competition between practitioners and health care providers. We support the people’s right to choose any modality of health care.
Substance Abuse and Gambling We recognize that addiction to alcohol, drugs, and gambling are among the chief causes of broken homes, poverty, juvenile crime, political corruption, and wasted lives. Therefore, we recommend abstinence from unnecessary use of addicting substances or practices. We consider gambling as a threat to the financial stability of the home. We oppose government sponsorship, involvement in, or promotion of gambling, e.g., lotteries, or subsidization of tribal casinos, etc.
Crime We hold that the safety of law-abiding citizens and the preservation of their properties are fundamental God-given rights, which take precedence over the rights of criminals.
We support only constitutionally sound provisions for the apprehension, speedy trial, and fitting punishment for criminal acts. We favor criminals being required to perform useful work to defray the costs of their imprisonment, and, where possible, to provide restitution to their victims. We favor capital punishment when justifiable.
We support the independence of local law enforcement from federal intrusion and control.
We oppose federalization of crimes which should otherwise, constitutionally, fall under state or local jurisdiction. We recognize the sheriff as the ultimate authority of law enforcement in each county.
8. NATURAL RESOURCES
Environment We favor the dynamic balance between development and conservation. We assert that areas mined or explored should be restored to their original condition. We favor the preservation of our forests through replanting efforts, healthy management, and the use and development of alternative materials.
We deem protection of the environment as a function and responsibility which falls under state and local jurisdictions, rather than national or global organizations. Therefore, we favor the elimination of the Environmental Protection Agency, the Wilderness Act, the federal Endangered Species Act, federal wetland legislation, and all federal government and international interference in state environmental and land matters. We oppose federal ownership or management of any properties not specified in the Constitution. We also call for the repeal of all executive orders and treaties which allow U.N. control or governance over U.S. land and resources. (We also call for the repeal of all executive orders as they pertain to the American people, since these are unconstitutional and should only apply to the Executive Branch).
Energy We favor the development of safe and inexpensive alternative energy sources, such as wind, fuel cells and solar power. We support the prudent and efficient use of other natural resources such as coal, shale oil, oil sands, and agricultural products, for the production of power and synthetic fuels. We also support the private construction and use of nuclear energy facilities through free market enterprise. We favor abolishing the wasteful and unconstitutional U.S. Department of Energy. We favor the following: (1) Advancement of technologies that would decrease air pollution; (2) incentives for scientific advancement, rather than pollution penalties imposed upon the technology-dependent public; (3) decreasing the demand on foreign oil through the use of our own reservoirs, capped wells, and sources yet untapped; and (4) state and local incentives to advance alternatives superior to oil and gas.
9. U.S. CONSTITUTION
Inspired Document We believe that the Constitution for the United States was prepared and adopted by men under inspiration from Almighty God. We believe it is a solemn compact created by the people of the states of this nation, which all officers of government, at all levels, are duty-bound by oath to protect and defend. We believe that the separation of the Legislative, Executive and Judicial branches must be restored and remain well defined.
We believe that concentration of power into one branch will destroy the Constitution and human liberties.
We recognize the Constitution, not the government, as the supreme law of the land designed specifically to assist the people in ruling and restricting the government. We reaffirm that the Founders established a representative Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy, believing in the rule of law as the best protection of God-given rights against infringement by the rule of man or majority will.
Branches of Government We consider all laws that delegate legislative authority to regulatory agencies, and other organizations or branches of government, as unconstitutional. We favor repeal of the 17th Amendment that destroyed one form of checks and balances left to the states, by transferring the election of senators from the state legislatures to the populace. We oppose congressional legislation in matters rightfully falling under state jurisdiction.
We favor voiding all executive orders as they pertain to the American people, since these are unconstitutional and should only apply to the Executive Branch. We favor the repeal of the so-called USA Patriot Act, Homeland Security Act, and other legislation that in any way represents an attack upon individual sovereignty, state’s rights, the Bill of Rights, national sovereignty, or the U.S. Constitution. We favor limiting the courts to their proper function of adjudication. We oppose the widespread illegal practice of judicial legislation. We favor Congress utilizing its authority (Article III, section 2) to prohibit the courts from hearing cases Congress deems outside the scope of federal jurisdiction.
Bill of Rights We hold that all rights are God-given and inseparable from the people. We therefore demand the restoration of all rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights, which have been trampled upon, unconstitutionally, by government. These include the right to pray and participate in Bible study in schools, public posting of the Ten Commandments, private ownership of guns, protection of life for the unborn, and all other rights belonging to the states and to the people.
Constitutional Convention We discourage any attempts for a Constitutional Convention (or Con-Con) for any reason, because of the potential to rewrite the entire Constitution by less than inspired men. We also discourage any ‘Conference of States’ that may be used as a veiled Constitutional Convention.
10. GOVERNMENT
Function We believe that to maintain freedom, our political institutions must be founded upon faith in God and upon moral laws and principles embodied in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution for the United States, the Bill of Rights, and the Holy Scriptures. We believe that the function of government is to protect life, liberty, property, and the fundamental and God-given rights of the people, and that anything more than this is usurpation and oppression.
We believe it imperative to achieve a substantial reduction in government size and budget at all levels while maintaining a strong and efficient national defense. We also deem it imperative to expose and eliminate government promotion of all principles, policies and agendas that threaten our Constitution including: Socialism, Marxism, Fascism, Nazism, and Secular Humanism.
We affirm that government employees, agencies, activities, etc. are to be held fully accountable to moral ethics and Constitutional law. We oppose sovereign immunity claims at the federal, state and local level that remove government and its agents from accountability.
Bureaucracy We favor abolishing regional governments that impose direct federal control upon metropolitan areas, while undermining state and local sovereignty. We favor abolishing all unconstitutional federal agencies and entities that usurp legislative, executive and judicial powers. We advocate and promote the supervision of public servants by the people they are elected to represent.
Congress and other branches of government Those elected to Congress, whether of the Senate or House of Representatives, are public servants, representing OUR needs and wants, and each one has sworn an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. Most elected representatives think they are permanent fixtures at the head of government. In modern times, they have created a “war zone” between one party and the other, which prevents them from focusing on the needs of the nation. In addition, over time, they have amassed high pay, special benefits, revolving door tactics, etc., and immunity from prosecution or removal, except by the vote of the people. Generally, they spend most of their time working to be re-elected the next election cycle. Why would a member of Congress spend millions of dollars to become elected, when paid a small portion of that amount once in office. There are hidden agendas at work, which are causing our nation to falter. We, the People, are fed up and tired of this behavior. It is time that the people wake up and elect true constitutional public servants to the Congress, who will keep their oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic.
States Rights We assert that the Constitution guarantees that all powers not delegated to the federal government belong to the states or to the people. We maintain that additional federal powers are available only by Constitutional Amendment. It is self-evident that no state or local governments can accept funds from the federal government and remain independent in performing their sovereign functions.
We oppose intrusion of the federal government in areas that rightfully belong to the states. We favor abolishing federal control of all lands, except for necessary forts, military bases, post offices, etc., as enumerated in, but limited by, the Constitution. We support the return to the states of all lands unconstitutionally seized, acquired or controlled by the federal government (10th Amendment), and those taken unconstitutionally as “required” for that state to join the Union.
Elections We support the right of every citizen to seek public office in accordance with the qualifications and principles set forth in the U.S. Constitution. We oppose unfair ballot access laws that favor the two-party monopoly while discriminating against all other parties. We oppose the use of tax money for financing political campaigns or political party activities. We favor abolishing the Federal Election Commission, and support restoring control and verification of the electoral process at the state and local level. We oppose any amendment or legislation to abolish the Electoral College, which would destroy another of our checks and balances. We favor criminal prosecution for voter fraud.
11. DEFENSE
War and Conflicts The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, requires a Congressional declaration to declare war. We maintain that without proper justification to Congress, U.S. forces should not be engaged in conflict. Furthermore, it is unconstitutional for U.S. military and law enforcement members to serve under the command of the United Nations or any other foreign entity.
We honor the right of our military and law enforcement personnel to refuse any order or command that conflicts with their sworn oath and duty to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. We say with John Quincy Adams: “We go not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy. We are the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. We are the champion and vindicator only of our own.”
Our Troops We love, honor and sustain our troops in all branches who serve and who are sometimes called upon to risk or give their lives in the service of our country.
While asserting that our able-bodied men and women will voluntarily come to the aid of our country to protect her people and liberties, we oppose the draft for three reasons:
(1) Conscription runs contrary to being a citizen of a free country.
(2) Those who have access to the “right” connections are able to evade or otherwise receive preferential treatment with regard to duty.
(3) For decades the draft has been abused and American lives sacrificed to accomplish U.N. and globalist agendas rather than to establish freedom.
Readiness We favor military defense budgets, technology capabilities, supplies, storage, and manpower sufficient to fight multiple wars against multiple enemies for several consecutive years if the need arises. We oppose any wasteful spending of military funds, and the spending of those funds without a fair and open bidding process.
The militia of the United States of America is defined as “The People” by the Founding Fathers. We support the promotion of a well-organized and regulated militia in every state and community. “The militia” is the natural defence of a free country against sudden foreign invasions, domestic insurrections, and domestic usurpations of power by rulers. The 2nd Amendment guarantees the right of each individual to keep and bear arms. We oppose and consider as treasonous all efforts to regulate the use of personal firearms or to disarm our citizenry. We oppose the closure of needed military bases, disarmament of missiles and any form of downsizing America’s defense forces which might weaken our defensive posture and ability as mentioned above.
National Security We are opposed to anti-terrorist legislation that has resulted (or will result) in the loss of personal freedom and civil rights, such as Homeland Security and the USA Patriot Act. We oppose the use of military forces in local and state matters and the creation of a nationalized police state. We further oppose usurpation of authority by any federal agency with respect to the Posse-Comitatus Act regarding state and local jurisdiction, sovereignty, authority, and control over the National Guard.
We are opposed to destroying constitutional checks and balances, destroying our Bill of Rights, or granting unconstitutional authority to the Executive Branch, the Judicial Branch or the Congress, under the guise and pretense of offering greater national security. We oppose the surrendering or committing of our military to the control of any international organization; for example, a global police force. We oppose allowing U.N. or foreign military forces in our air space, in our harbors, or on American soil or territories. We oppose the establishment of foreign military bases in the United States for any reason.
We declare the Panama Canal giveaway as unconstitutional and illegal, and demand its return. This act has contributed to high risk to national security since both ends of the canal are now under the control of the Chinese military. It is a constitutional requirement that the federal government protect the states from foreign invasion, both military and of illegal immigrants.
12. U.S. SOVEREIGNTY
Sovereign America We maintain that true sovereignty lies in the people themselves as the ultimate source and grantor of government authority. We recognize the states and the people as the true sovereigns over the federal government, holding all powers, rights, and authorities not granted to the federal government by the Constitution. The 10th Amendment mandates that the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches of government are subservient to the states and to the people. We say with Abraham Lincoln: “We the people are the rightful masters of Congress and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution.” We affirm that the Constitution for the United States is the supreme law of the land. We assert that the United States is, and must remain, a free and independent nation not subject to international laws or treaties inconsistent with, or that would usurp, the U.S. Constitution. We favor U.S. withdrawal from any treaty or organization, etc., that infringes upon or threatens the sovereignty and independence of the United States. We favor the ratification of the Bricker Amendment, which would reassert and protect the primacy of the U.S. Constitution.
International Relations We oppose the concept of ‘Most Favored Nation’ status. We oppose any and all efforts by the federal government to regulate and govern other countries and provinces of the world, or efforts to dethrone their leaders, i.e., “nation building”.
We oppose all international trade agreements that diminish America’s economic self-sufficiency, sovereignty, independence, or exportation of our jobs. We support the withdrawal of funding and support of the United States from the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the repeal of Fast Track authority given to the President. We also oppose the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA), the Free Trade Area of The Americas (FTAA), and any other trade agreement that is detrimental to the sovereignty and borders of the 50 union states.
Global Government We reaffirm to the world our declaration of permanent independence and sovereignty as a free nation, and our unalterable opposition to any efforts or movements towards globalization, or a one-world government. We assert that the consequences of implementing a ‘New World Order’, or globalization, will be the loss of our national sovereignty and independence, the permanent surrender of our God-given rights and freedoms, the end of personal sovereignty and agency, and an existence of slavery and oppression under tyrants and despots. We favor the immediate withdrawal of the United States from the United Nations, and the immediate removal of all United Nations presence from the United States. We oppose the U.S. participation in any form of global army, global taxation, international criminal courts, and all forms of tyranny, foreign or domestic.
