Mosiah Lyman Reed Hancock (1834 – 1907) chronicled Joseph Smith's "American Political Prophecy," who was running for the Presidency of the United States (in 1844), when he said:
“There will be two great political parties in this country. One will be called the Republican, and the other the Democrat party. These two parties will go to war and out of these two parties will spring another party which will be the INDEPENDENT AMERICAN PARTY.
The United States will spend her strength and means warring in foreign lands until other nations will say, ‘Let’s divide up the lands of the United States’, then the people of the U. S. will unite and swear by the blood of their fore-fathers, that the land shall not be divided.
Then the country will go to war, and they will fight until one half of the U. S. army will give up, and the rest will continue to struggle. They will keep on until they are very ragged and discouraged, and almost ready to give up-when the boys from the mountains will rush forth in time to save the American Army from defeat and ruin. And they will say, ‘Brethren, we are glad you have come; henceforth, give us men who can talk with God’. Then you will have friends, but you will save the country when its liberty hangs by a hair, as it were.”

One member of the IAP in So. Utah has commented that the 'country & liberty is hanging by "air" now! We just need to drop the "h" from the prophecy to be fulfilled!' ... practically.

In 2023 IAP decided to go forth to ALL the Americas, North, Central, South America and the Caribbean. Headquarters for this is 51 West Center, Ste. 529; Orem, Utah 84057
IAP in North America is alive and well across the USA, especially in Utah, the home state of the IAP. Mexico is 'part' of North America and was the first international nominee for an 'Ambassador' for IAP-NA. Canada has a regulation dis-allowing any party with the word "Independent" so it is out. IAP-NA is currently affiliated with IAP Utah - the root for IAP National Party (USA) and the mail address of: 51 West Center, Ste. 529; Orem, Utah 84057
IAP of Central America is in a beginning state of organization, with just a couple of 'Ambassadors' nominated. Interest in that region is increasing and building on the ground. Applications for volunteers to help are being taken now, and can be sent to IAP HQ, 51 West Center, Ste. 529; Orem, Utah 84057 or you can reach us on the "Contact Page" of this website.
Did you know there are literally thousands of islands in the Caribbean? The nations of the Caribbean number 37! Several are nations in Central America and would be handled by their 'Ambassadors.' But several need their own - e.g., Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, etc. Applications for native speakers interested in volunteering are being taken, and can be sent to IAP HQ, 51 West Center, Ste. 529; Orem, Utah 84057 or you can reach us on the 'Contact Page' of this website.
IAP in South America has great potential! There are 14 different nations in South America. Some 'Ambassadors' for South America have been nominated already and more are needed. The need is great and just think of all the good we can do for the people there. Applications for volunteers and native speakers interested in helping are being taken, and can be sents to IAP HQ, 51 Wet Center, Ste. 529; Orem, Utah 84057 or they can be reached on the 'Contact Page' of this website.
MISSION of the IAP is:
"To promote: respect for life, liberty, and property; strong traditional families; patriotism; individual, state, national sovereignty - with a strong reliance on both the Declaration of Independence and allegiance to their Constitution (using the principles of the United States of America) - by petition to God, by political and educational means. "
We are all Independent Americans if we were born in the American Hemisphere or reside there. We are not born Republican, Democrat, Socialist, or Communist ... it is a label we adopt, use, and often change. We suggest we should be Independent and Free; at Liberty to make our own choices, not having them dictated to us by government - but rather, since "We the People" give our consent for government to govern ... we can change, reform, or alter that government when it becomes some- thing we no longer want or need. That is one of the inalienable rights of ALL Americans, given to us by God - not the State, not our government, but by our Creator! Therefore, we are ALL .... Independent Americans!!
