He ran for Utah Governor in 2020, on the IAP ticket, and previously ran for State Senator (2012), Utah State Legislator (2010), and Congress (Ut-Dist 3 in 2018). A retired newspaperman he has covered Utah Politics for over 40 years. He is a grandfather of 72 and great-grandfather of 12 ..- and still counting! He also recreates Ben Franklin inside the Scera Theatre for Freedom Festival's Fourth of July weekend.

Mike Carpenter is the Utah State Secretary for 2022-2023 term. He ran for Orem City Council in 2021 and 2023 and is a current member of Orem's Planning and Zoning Commission. He is a liberty loving and freedom conscious man with a family of supportive and like-minded people. He has always been willing to help out Patriot groups and good freedom loving causes.
